Carbone Named To NFCA All-Northeast Region Third-Team

Amherst, Mass. – Senior outfielder Kaycee Carbone of the University of Massachusetts softball team was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Northeast Region Third-Team as announced by the NFCA on Thursday afternoon. The all-region selection marks the second straight selection for Carbone as she was named to the second-team a year ago.
 
Carbone (Hudson, N.H.) posted a .336 average at the plate on the year with a .345 mark in Atlantic 10 play to go along with 34 RBI and a .540 slugging percentage. The outfielder reached base at a .463 clip to lead all Minutewomen while ranking 14th-highest in a single season in program history. Career wise, Carbone's .401 on-base percentage ranks 18th-best in program history while she ranks 14th in career home runs and 17th in RBI with 109.
 
The Minutewomen finished the regular season as the runner-up in the Atlantic 10 with a 12-5 mark in conference play and a 26-22 record on the year.
